Almost a Month

I think it may be a new record for me, no posts in almost a month. Aren't you proud?

I would say that I have nothing to post, but actually life has been quite busy. We've had snow and rain and Christmas and house buying all since my last post. I guess technically you can't call it house buying, but contract putting for sure.

Christmas was wonderful. I think everyone got what they wanted. Nick got more video games and dinosaur digs, Moira got many girly items such has doll houses and dress-up clothes, and Aiden got clucking Elmos and pretty much anything a 2 year old would want. J got movies and cds and pretty much anything a 31 year old would want. I got spoiled.

I got a toaster oven and a Sonicare toothbrush and a feather bed and heating pads and...and...I got spoiled.

We put a contract on a house too while J was in town these past few days. J flies back on Monday morning, but we did get quite a bit done the short time he was home. As long as nothing goes wrong, we will be home owners as of January 31, 2006. The house is about 17 years old, spilt level, 3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage, with a deck, a nice backyard, and a partially finished basement. I say partially; there is some drywall hung but pretty much we can do anything we want with it.

We're just excited to maybe be on the verge of not throwing our money away anymore on rent. Say a prayer please.

I guess that's it for now. I must go and make J some food and probably shortly followed by making the kids food. They're never hungry until I'm sitting back down.

St. Nick and the First Snow

Last night was the visit of St. Nick. I'd have a picture of what he left my children, but upon descending the stairs everything was digested. I know he left an apple, orange, walnuts, chocolate, candy canes, and a candy bracelet for each child. Nick got a word search book, Moira got two packs of stickers, and Aiden got a Matchbox car. They were very happy when we read the note St. Nick left saying that they were all on the nice list this year. Just 19 days and good ol' Santa will be back.

We had our first snow last night also. The kids say that Santa brought the snow with him, because he can't travel unless it's cold. I was able to get some pictures of that. The kids couldn't eat, so I took a picture. Well they could eat it, but not the yellow snow.

I Miss My Husband

Me with My Most Handsome Husband
This is just a quick post to say:

"Aren't we a handsome couple?"

This was last year's Marine Corps Ball picture because of course I forgot my camera this year and no one has forwarded me any pictures yet. It's probably best though becuase I think he got skinnier and I got fatter and that's just not good.

Happy Holidays

Our Little Ol' Tree
The kids and I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. Consider this your Christmas card, but I still don't send those out.
