Two Hundred
I wanted to make it to my two hundredth post before letting you know that I'm going to be stopping this for awhile. I've fallen into the pit of despair and don't see myself climbing out any time soon. I don't want to use this site to inadvertently offend someone or make them upset, but at this point there's not a whole lot of nice things I can say. I'm feeling rather self centered and feel as if I've been taken advantage of on all fronts. See there I go....
Maybe I'll be back in a little while.
Maybe I'll be back in a little while.

Babysitting
Have you ever been babysitting and decided around midnight that you were so tired that you just called the parents and said "Hey everyone's sleeping, I'm going to bed. So, just let the kids stay the night and I'll call you when everyone gets up for you to pick them up?" AND THEN... The next morning when you attempt to call because everyone has woken up and you've already fed them breakfast and YOU CAN'T REACH THE PARENTS!! You've only been trying for 2 hours and they don't answer their home phone or cell. It's great isn't it? Makes you just want to say "Sure" the next time they ask you to babysit.

The Running Man
I'm doing my happy dance, I'm doing my happy dance. You can't see me, but imagine a mix between the running man and the cabbage patch. That's my happy dance - with the white man's overbite.
I bought a trampoline last night. It's 15' in diameter and it has an enclosure. For all you haters out there, it only cost me $8 more a year to make my homeowners policy worth the purchase and I don't want to hear about injury this or injury that; you don't have to come join in the fun of jumping. So there!
I wish I could get it assembled before the kids come home, but with the craziness right now it's just not going to happen. I also have about half the basement completed for the kids. I should probably finish that tonight, but I've been soooo tired by the time I get home. Excuses, excuses I'm full of them.
So, I attempted to tape Survivor last night and when I got home and snuggled in to watch it... You could hear the show, but all you saw was a still frame of David Caruso from CSI Miami. I despise David Caruso as he is one of my least favorite actors and could some please explain to me how this could happen since I don't know CSI Miami came on after Survivor. Talk about suckage!

Saturday Night Shall Not Be Repeated
Since the kids are gone, I decided to go out on Saturday night. Rarely do I go out anymore, I think it has something to with my lone friend being across the ocean. Rarely going out means that I typically get drunk once a year and it is typically reserved for the Marine Corps Ball. Well, not 2006! I was hammered.
We started in the evening in Augusta, MO after failing miserably at getting dinner and a movie in Chesterfield. So, we went to the Augusta Brewery to meet up with a couple people. I only had one beer at this location. I had the American Wheat and would recommend it if you ever go. Then, we drove to Wentzville where we spent the rest of the evening in the Olde Town Bar. My mom is going to be so proud... here I indulged in another beer, one shot of Jagermeister, and I believe it was 7 whiskey sours, but honestly I lost count. I entered the bar only knowing one individual and had just met the other 4 people in Augusta. By the time I left the bar, I knew everyone. I got home safe and sound around 2am and didn't fall right asleep since you know the entire room was spinning.
Once a year people, once a year do I subject myself to that torture.
Oh, the "we" continually referenced above was my next door neighbor Mandy. We met up with her sister, brother-in-law, and two friends.

I'm Big and Beautiful
So, my best friend keeps a site at Yahoo 360 and lately she's been writing a lot about weight loss. Well, when she writes anyway. She's way too busy to keep it up daily. Anyway, she says that she's lost all this weight and basically has a brand new wardrobe and blah, blah, blah. As you can see, I'm not the least bit jealous. There are no sarcastic overtones in the post at all - yeah right.
But you see, it's okay. I may be slightly heavier than I was upon highschool graduation and I may have greatly larger breasts, but that's good. I have curves now. Curves are good right? My mother and I were talking the other day about weight and clothes and all that other junk that goes along with it and I finally made her laugh by stating that at least my hips were still large enough that I looked like I had a waist.
This post truly has no point and I'm not quite sure where I was going with it. I think something triggered and this may sound horrible but I watched the "Half Ton Man" last night on TLC and discovered that hell I could be a lot fatter than I am. It's sad though because he died weighing 759.6 pounds and was in the process of getting help to lose the weight.

I'm Sad and Surprised
My kids are now about 2 hours into their drive to Indiana with Grandma Walker and you'd think I'd be thrilled. No husband OR children for a week, but the first thing I did this morning was call Jason and say that I was about to cry. Could you imagine going from being a pretty much single parent for the past four months, to having your children gone too? I think they're the only things keeping me sane while their father is gone. Well, maybe not sane but busy.
I have enough to keep me busy though while they're gone, both work and home related. I've promised to have all the toys unpacked and the basement set-up for them when they get home. If you've never seen how many toys my children have, then you just wouldn't understand what a commitment I made. I've also decided to try and host a small get together while they're gone. That way I didn't have to worry about bedtimes or them not liking the food I made and well hell I can drink now, but I'm totally worried. I'm scared to find out that I'm the kid in the class no one wants to play with. How grade school is that? What's funny though is that those type of insecurities just never go away.
I better sign off for now and do something productive. Wish me luck while I'm on my own - YUCK - oh I mean - YEAH!

My Daughter and I Both have Problems
Mine is obsessive, hers is lack of common sense. Please don't get offended, I don't know many 5 year olds with common sense.
She allowed the neighbor girl, her friend, to convince her that it was a good idea to play with a can of silver spray paint today. From what I heard and saw, they spray painted part of the grill (not mine), the Fisher Price toy car, and Moira's coat. I don't think her coat was intentional, just the aftermath of spray and lord knows what she put her arm on.
I am obsessive, but I don't think I'm compulsive. I updated our movie spreadsheet this morning because I had received my most recent Columbia House purchase. After updating, I came to the realization that I have 179 titles of movies to choose from. Not 179 tapes/dvds, 179 titles; some are found both on VHS and DVD. WE ROCK!! Back on the compulsive note though, my movies are in alphabetical order. Does that count?

I was Told Not to Post This
See this is how my personality works, if you tell me not to post something, I'm going to. If you completely support my decision to dye my hair, I will back out like the chicken shit I am. You'd think, my being her daughter, she would have learned this years ago - my husband has learned already.
What my kids ate for supper tonight...
Nick - one strawberry pastry strudel and three pieces of apple with peanut butter
Moira - an entire apple with peanut butter on each slice
Aiden - one can of corn and the pieces of apple Nick did not eat
Now you must understand that my children are either suffering head colds or seasonal allergies and didn't want to eat at all. Plus, I should win the parenting award because I did get them to eat items that were either fruits or vegetables. See I'm not a bad parent, I'm flexible.
I'm eating two mini tacos, two mini chicken taquitos, and one cream cheese/jalapeƱo burrito.
