Saturday Night Shall Not Be Repeated

Since the kids are gone, I decided to go out on Saturday night. Rarely do I go out anymore, I think it has something to with my lone friend being across the ocean. Rarely going out means that I typically get drunk once a year and it is typically reserved for the Marine Corps Ball. Well, not 2006! I was hammered.

We started in the evening in Augusta, MO after failing miserably at getting dinner and a movie in Chesterfield. So, we went to the Augusta Brewery to meet up with a couple people. I only had one beer at this location. I had the American Wheat and would recommend it if you ever go. Then, we drove to Wentzville where we spent the rest of the evening in the Olde Town Bar. My mom is going to be so proud... here I indulged in another beer, one shot of Jagermeister, and I believe it was 7 whiskey sours, but honestly I lost count. I entered the bar only knowing one individual and had just met the other 4 people in Augusta. By the time I left the bar, I knew everyone. I got home safe and sound around 2am and didn't fall right asleep since you know the entire room was spinning.

Once a year people, once a year do I subject myself to that torture.

Oh, the "we" continually referenced above was my next door neighbor Mandy. We met up with her sister, brother-in-law, and two friends.
