We've done it! We've carved our first pumpkin this season as a family. I say first, because it won't last until Halloween. BUT, what a doozie of a start. The kids had a blast until they got hollered at to put the knives down and let me actually carve the thing. I can't wait for them to see it lit up. They're asleep right now. So, I'll probably take it in the bathroom (the only dark room) and light it tomorrow.
