He Really Stuck It Up His Nose

Last night after getting home from the ER (totally a different story) Aiden was munching on some chocolate covered sunflower seeds that I had. I'm in the kitchen finishing some stuff up before bed and Nick comes running in "MOM, MOM I NEED YOUR HELP! IT'S STUCK!"

Me: "It's stuck? Oh God what did Aiden do?"
Nick: "Not Aiden, me. I got it stuck up my nose."
Me: "You got what stuck up your nose?"
Nick: "One of those candies."
Me: "Nick that is totally not funny, you did not stuck a sunflower seed up your nose. Did you?"
Nick: "I got a white one stuck. Just look, it's stuck."
Me: "Your joking." I say this as I look up his nostril. "Oh my God, you really did stick a sunflower seed up your nose. What were you thinking? Okay, we'll it doesn't look too stuck, just grab a tissue and try to blow it out. I bet it will come right out."

Nick starts to leave the kitchen, stops, closes his left nostril, and blows. The next thing I know I've got a white sunflower seed shooting across the kitchen.

Me: "Nick, I told you to get a tissue."
Nick is laughing hysterically at this point and I'm starting to cry from laughing so hard.
Me: "What possessed you to stick that up your nose?"
Nick: "I don't know, I just wanted to see what would happen."

Even at age 8, they still have gathered all the wisdom of the world.
