Tonight
Guess what I'm doing right now...
I'm sitting at my computer, writing this blog, listening to all the fireworks be shot off. My favorite part, it's illegal to shoot fireworks off where I live. There is a blanket ban; no exceptions. Does this annoy me? Yes, I am annoyed that people choose to show their patriotism by breaking the law. I'm annoyed that they choose to shoot balls of fire into the air within close proximity of my home. I am annoyed that I live near people that keep their bag of fireworks next to their car and then light a sparkle over it. How stupid can you be?
Nick and I had a huge argument of this and why we would not be purchasing fireworks. A) Its illegal, B) I told him that if he really wanted to he could take his dollar outside and light it on fire b/c it was basically the same thing. I don't mind the large city displays on the night of the 4th. They are coordinated and the safety of the people is kept in mind and it has come to represent a certain level of patriotism, but I can't stand the dinky little explosives that individuals purchase without once considering whether anyone else in the neighborhood wants the chance of their house on fire.
There's a blanket ban people!
Happy Holiday Weekend and I'm really not that big of a bitch, I'm just very bothered right now. Part of it could be the fact that the kids are scared of the noise and have trouble going to bed. It's now 10:20pm and they are finally all asleep.
