WTF
I'm a troop leader. WTF? First of all, I've never been in the girl scouts. Second, it's not like I don't have three kids, a full time job, and a husband that may go off to the next natural disaster at any time. Third, it's me.
Moira is now enrolled in dance on Mondays (1/2 tap, 1/2 ballet) and Daisies. Although I am lucky enough to have a troop where the parents are willing to play it by ear and we've only scheduled one meeting per month. We decided that one meeting per month is probably enough at this level and then we're going to try to plan a monthly or bi-monthly activity. Maybe a trip to the zoo, a nature walk through the park, or the pumpkin patch, etc.
I will say though that since I have agreed to take on the role of leader, I am embracing it. I have already priced out the uniforms and have started brain storming ideas for trips or crafts. We'll just have to see how it goes.
