Oh how I love getting comments. I just checked my site and had three new comments; one for each of the last few posts. Did you know that it just makes a blogger smile to see comments are waiting? YEA!

Peppers

We have begun to grow peppers. These were only planted like 3 months ago; maybe not that long, but I sure don't remember. Go us!!

Wedding

I don't have a decent picture of the bride and groom yet (taken on a regular camera), but this sat in front of me during the entire meal at the reception. It was filled with chocolate and raspberry goodness.

Art
I've discovered that I love this woman's artwork, but that I couldn't even afford the brush she uses to create it. I've attempted to bid on some at Ebay, but even though I'm currently the high bid I still don't meet the reserve price that she's wanting to sell it for - suckage! I guess maybe I'll have to look around for a similar style knockoff somewhere.
Osnat
This is my favorite piece, but completely out of my price range. Isn't it gorgeous?

I can also share video links
Absent me

Since I somehow can't keep up with typing entries, I decided to fill the time with posting pictures. I have lots of those and it doesn't take much thought to link them here. I have pictures from my brother-in-law's wedding, pictures of the kids acting crazy, pictures of nonsensical items, pictures that I can't display here (haha). Anyway here's an oldie, but a goodie.

Nice Weekend
So, overall I had a great weekend. That's not easy to say all the time and so you have to boast when you can. I only had one crying fit and I think I just was tired or maybe exhausted would be a better word for it.
Saturday was crazy. First thing in the morning, I got to go shopping with my mom. I wanted some company on my outing and she was gracious enough to tag along. I'm glad she did because clothes shopping is not my favorite endeavor since having the kids, but I needed something to wear to my brother-in-laws wedding this weekend. My mom was such a big help because she understood my problem area (my tummy) and without making me feel self conscience about it she was able to say things like "these pants may work better than those" or "that shirt really does draw the attention to your middle area, let's try this one." It was great and what I found amusing was that my mom's taste in clothing is very similar, if not exactly alike to my own. I walked out with a few items that could all be mixed and matched and that was my intent. Plus, everything was nice enough for the wedding and for work. YEA!!!
After shopping with my mom, I completed with weekly grocery shopping and bought some new bras. Do you want to know how nice it is to be able to say I'm a 36C instead of a 38B? I think I prefer that just a little. Since you know I do go around exclaiming my bra size to everyone I meet. I just was intrigued that it took me this long to discover they both would fit.
On Saturday, I also took the two older kids to the Mills Mall for about 3 hours with my neighbors. We had fun and if anyone wanted ideas for Moira's upcoming birthday...
Children's Place (found at both the Mills and Mid Rivers) is having their end of the season sale and I was able to snag two shirts for Nick and two complete outfits for Moira for $25.00. Moira is a size 6 and is need of clothes for school. Toys would be nice too, but lord knows we have a lot of those. No makeup please since it was getting put on everything but her face. She's still the artist and loves music if that gives any ideas too.
On Sunday we cleaned and I mowed the lawn. My house is so pretty right now. You are all invited over to look. So rarely is it completely clean! Jason's Grandpa and Grandma Brenda came in for a visit from Virginia, hence the cleaning spree. It was so great to see them. They are true grandparents that love to show you affection and pride. It was the first time since moving in that we really got to show the house off and I know I was just beaming. They absolutely loved the house and Brenda had fun discussing the painting of the rooms with me and Grandpa loved the basement and garage. You know he could have a nice workshop down there. I really wish they lived closer.
The kids took to them right away too. It's been a year since the last time we saw them and I wasn't sure if the kids would remember, but Aiden was a ham and Moira had fun sitting and reading the dictionary with Grandma Brenda after dinner. Yes, my daughter decided that the book to have was the dictionary. Nick showed off his computer skills and played really nicely with Aiden just to show off. The boy does scream like a girl though.
We get to have dinner with them again this evening over at Cheryl's and that should be nice. Then it's off to the races and everyone gets to start packing and deciding when to leave for Wisconsin. Of course Chuck had to decide to get married when gas prices are at their most expensive and its tourist season in the Wisconsin Dells. I know we will have a nice time though. We head up Friday and return on Sunday. Maybe we'll stop a do a thing or two with the kids on the trip. Who knows?

Closing Out the Day
Well, maybe he's just experiencing a growth spurt. Nick just completed his fourth bowl of cereal before exclaiming that he was full. But oh can he have one more glass of milk? Does this mean that I'm going to have to take him clothes shopping soon? The boy already flies through shoes like it's nobody's business.
Side note: Aiden is potty trained now!! Much excitement in my house let me tell you.

Food - YEA!
So dinner didn't go as planned tonight, but it ended up being the best dinner we've had in awhile. I was suppose to make Peppered Steak and Rice, but discovered I didn't have enough rice. I ended up just browning the meat with some butter, garlic salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and diced onions and then fixing corn, potato pancakes, and watermelon with it.
Jason and I quite enjoyed the meal and Aiden and Moira ate well too. The big surprise was Nick. I can count my full reading audience on one hand so I know you all know Nick and his eating habits. Since the age of about 1 1/2 - 2 (which was 6 years ago respectively), you pretty much had to fight his picky nature and beg him to eat. Well ladies and gentlemen, tonight he ate meat, potato pancakes, corn, and watermelon. I don't think my son has eaten from all the food groups in like forever... and he had milk to drink. Let me tell you, I about fell over and I did the dorky thing and called my mother-in-law to tell her about it because she's been complaining lately about trying to get him to eat during the day.
Yes, I am an old fart mother. I complain about fireworks and rejoice about a well eaten meal. Hurrah to me - I am a mother now!

Tonight
Guess what I'm doing right now...
I'm sitting at my computer, writing this blog, listening to all the fireworks be shot off. My favorite part, it's illegal to shoot fireworks off where I live. There is a blanket ban; no exceptions. Does this annoy me? Yes, I am annoyed that people choose to show their patriotism by breaking the law. I'm annoyed that they choose to shoot balls of fire into the air within close proximity of my home. I am annoyed that I live near people that keep their bag of fireworks next to their car and then light a sparkle over it. How stupid can you be?
Nick and I had a huge argument of this and why we would not be purchasing fireworks. A) Its illegal, B) I told him that if he really wanted to he could take his dollar outside and light it on fire b/c it was basically the same thing. I don't mind the large city displays on the night of the 4th. They are coordinated and the safety of the people is kept in mind and it has come to represent a certain level of patriotism, but I can't stand the dinky little explosives that individuals purchase without once considering whether anyone else in the neighborhood wants the chance of their house on fire.
There's a blanket ban people!
Happy Holiday Weekend and I'm really not that big of a bitch, I'm just very bothered right now. Part of it could be the fact that the kids are scared of the noise and have trouble going to bed. It's now 10:20pm and they are finally all asleep.
